My name is Daniel Villalobos. Most know me as Danny. I’m an actor, photographer, and occasional model. And I believe those three come from the same place: I like being alive.

I love to feel. Falling in love, getting my heart broken, laughing with people I care about, being somewhere I’ve never seen, being scared, surprised, and having my mind changed. In this life, there’s good, there’s bad, and everything in between. Acting gives me a place to live inside of all of it. Give me a good story, good people, and something worth feeling, and I’m happy.

Photography came into my life differently. I shoot 35mm film with my trusty Canon AE-1. Originally gifted to someone very important to me, the camera found its way back into my hands after that special someone passed away. Since then, I’ve used it to capture those moments I never want to forget. My eyes are most drawn to people when they’re not performing—friends sharing a goodbye, a stranger losing themselves and then finding themselves in a painting, a father holding his daughter’s hand, not the other way around. Little moments that tell you exactly who that person is, if you just keep looking. Sometimes, I find myself photographing those moments because I know what it means to wish you had just one more.

I’m half Panamanian and half Salvadoran. Born in Virginia and raised between Maryland, Virginia, and Panama, by different people, places, and ways of looking at life—the reason behind my curiosity. I ask why a lot—maybe even too much for my own good. I change my mind often. I’m particular. I like people who say what they mean, experiences I’ve never had before, and anything that makes me reevaluate what I thought I once knew.

More than anything, I think I’m always chasing myself—the fullest version of whatever I will become in this life. Not really sure what that is or how long until that is, but however it goes, I just hope for a long, beautiful, and fun journey along the way, with the people I love by my side.
